Seachem Flourite Black

Flourite® Black is a specially fracted, stable, porous clay gravel designed for the natural planted aquarium. While its appearance is best suited to planted aquaria, it can also be used in any freshwater aquarium environment.

Key Features:

• Best used as an integral substrate bed: Flourite® Black is most effective when used alone but can also be mixed with other gravels.
• No need for additional modifiers: Gravel modifiers such as laterite are unnecessary.
• Chemically safe: It is not chemically coated or treated and will not alter the pH of the water.
• Long-lasting: Flourite® Black is good for the life of the aquarium and does not need to be replaced.

Set-Up Instructions:

• Rinsing: Although pre-washed, Flourite® Black is a natural product and may become dusty during transit. Rinse thoroughly before use to remove any residual dust.
• Adding water:
  • Fill the aquarium slowly to avoid disturbing the substrate bed.
  • Place a bowl in the aquarium and pour water directly into the bowl, allowing it to overflow softly onto the gravel bed.
• Cloudiness: Initial cloudiness is normal. To clear it:
  • Use mechanical filtration, such as filter floss.
  • For faster clearing, use Clarity™.
