Limnophila sessiliflora (Ambulia)

Limnophila sessiliflora, commonly known as Ambulia or Asian marshweed, is a popular, fast-growing, and beginner-friendly stem plant native to Southeast Asia. It features soft, bright green, feathery leaves arranged in a spiral whorl around the stem.

Care and Requirements

• Lighting:
  Low to high light. Brighter light results in denser, compact growth, while low light can make the plant stretch ("leggy").

• Growth Rate:
  Fast (up to 3–5 inches per week under optimal conditions).

• CO2 and Fertilizers:
  CO2 is not required, but it boosts growth. It feeds from both the water column and its roots, benefiting from a nutrient-rich substrate or liquid fertilizers.

• Water Parameters:
  Tolerates temperatures from 20–28°C (68–82°F), a pH of 6.0–8.0, and soft to hard water (GH 1–20).
