Origin and Appearance

• Natural Habitat: Found in the fast-flowing, warm, acidic blackwater tributaries of the Rio Negro basin in Brazil.
• Appearance: Features an olive-green, brownish, or grey base color covered in a dark brown to black leopard spot pattern, complemented by orange or reddish edging on the dorsal and tail fins.
• Size: This pleco grows large, commonly reaching 10 to 12 inches (25–30 cm), with maximum potentials up to 16 inches.
