Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' (commonly known as Sunset Hygro or Marmor) is a vibrant, fast-growing stem plant featuring green leaves with striking pink-to-white veins. It is beginner-friendly, tolerates low-to-high lighting, and requires no CO2 injection, though intensive light and iron bring out its deepest pink colors.

Care Requirements

• Lighting: Medium to high light intensifies the pink and white leaf variegation; low light makes the plant greener and slower-growing.
• Water Parameters: Temperature of 20–28°C (68–82°F), pH between 6.0 and 8.0, and soft to moderately hard water (3–18 dGH).
• CO2 & Nutrients: CO2 is optional, but liquid fertilizers and iron supplements help prevent the leaves from fading to pale white.
• Placement: Best suited for the midground or background, growing 20–40 cm tall and 5–8 cm wide.

Maintenance and Propagation

• Pruning: Trimming the main stems frequently encourages thick, bushy lateral growth.
• Reversion: Occasionally, a stem will grow completely plain green leaves; pinch or cut these solid green shoots out to preserve the distinct pink marbling.
