Comet Goldfish - Bronze

The Comet Goldfish is a hardy, fast-swimming coldwater fish known for its deeply forked, flowing tail. Growing up to 10–12 inches long, they require spacious habitats (minimum 100L or 200L for adults) or outdoor ponds. They are omnivorous and are beginner-friendly.

Key Characteristics & Care

• Lifespan: 10 to 15+ years with proper water quality and diet.
• Water Parameters: Thrive in temperatures of 10–24°C (50–75°F) with a pH between 6.5 and 8.5.
• Colors: Commonly found in yellow, orange, and vibrant red, as well as bi-color red-and-white (Sarasa Comets).
• Diet: Omnivorous. They benefit from a varied diet of high-protein sinking pellets, insects, brine shrimp, and blanched vegetables.
• Tank Mates: Peaceful but highly active. Best kept with other single-tail goldfish or similarly active species. Avoid keeping them with slower, fancy goldfish (like Fantails) as they may outcompete them for food.
