Product Details
A male Nemo betta is a brightly colored, captive-bred variety of the Siamese fighting fish known for its clownfish-like orange, white, and black koi marbling pattern. First popularized by breeders in Thailand around 2015–2017, males feature vibrant multicolored bodies and strong personality.
Appearance and Colors
- Base color: Bright orange or yellow base reminiscent of a clownfish.
- Markings: Layered patches of red, white, jet black, and sometimes blue or pink (frequently overlapping with "Candy" or "Galaxy" koi classifications).
- Fins: Available in various finnage types like Plakat (short-finned) or Halfmoon (long-finned).
Care and Tank Requirements
- Tank size: Minimum of 5 to 10 gallons of stable, heated water.
- Water parameters: Temperature range of 74–82°F (24–28°C) and a pH level between 6.5 and 7.5.
- Temperament: Highly territorial and aggressive toward other male bettas; best kept as a single showcase fish or with very peaceful tank mates.
