The "Super General Blood Red Arowana" is a premium, selectively bred variant of the Asian Arowana (Scleropages formosus). Famed for its deep, intense crimson scales and majestic, dragon-like swimming style, it is native to the Kapuas River in Indonesia and serves as a highly sought-after symbol of wealth and prosperity
A true Super Red Arowana matures into a full-blocked, intense red. In high-grade blood-red variants, the coloration extends across the gill plates, fins, lips, and barbels, and the edges of the metallic scales shine with a rich, ruby hue.
These are large, active fish that can grow up to 60 cm in length. They require massive aquariums (minimum 700+ liters, often ponds) to accommodate their size and prevent spinal deformity.
Maintain a temperature between 26°C and 30°C with a stable pH of 6.5 to 7.5.
Arowanas are notorious jumpers. Tight-fitting, weighted, or reinforced heavy glass covers are essential.
Strictly carnivorous. Feed a varied diet of high-quality pellets, frozen shrimp, crickets, and feeder fish.
