Anubias Nana Petite (Anubias barteri var. nana 'Petite') is a popular, hardy, and miniature aquarium plant. It features tiny, deep green leaves (0.5–1.5 cm) and grows very slowly in tight, low clusters. This plant is ideal for nano tanks, shrimp habitats, and foreground hardscape detailing.
Care and Requirements
Placement
- Attach to driftwood or rocks using thread or super glue gel.
- Important: Never bury the horizontal stem (rhizome) in the substrate, as it will rot.
Lighting
- Thrives best in low to moderate light.
- Caution: Intense light can cause excessive algae growth on its slow-growing leaves.
CO2 & Nutrients
- Carbon dioxide injection and heavy fertilizers are unnecessary.
- However, low-dose liquid fertilizers support steady health.
Water Parameters
- Adapts well to temperatures between 22–28°C (72–82°F).
- Suitable for a pH range of 6.0 to 7.5.
