Albino Knife Fish

The albino clown knife fish (Chitala ornata) is a rare and striking white-to-golden morph with red eyes, an elongated knife-like body, and an undulating lower fin that allows it to swim both forward and backward.

Care and Requirements

• Size: Grows up to 35 inches (90 cm) long.
• Tank Size: Requires a minimum of 125 to 180 gallons (500+ liters) as an adult.
• Water Parameters: Temperature range of 24–28°C (75–82°F) and a pH level between 6.5 and 7.5.
• Diet: Carnivorous; thrives on frozen or live foods like shrimp, worms, and meaty pieces.

Behavior and Tank Mates

• Temperament: Semi-aggressive and nocturnal; will eat any small fish that can fit into its mouth.
• Tank Mates: Best kept with other large, non-aggressive fish or monster fish species that are too big to swallow.
