A.H.T Brand Hatching Instructions

Follow these steps to ensure optimal hatching of A.H.T Brine Shrimp Eggs:

1. Hatching Container

   • Preferably use a container with a conical bottom.

2. Aeration

   • Add strong, continuous aeration to the bottom of the hatching container using airstones.

3. Egg Density

   • Use no more than 2 grams per liter.

4. Temperature

   • Maintain an ideal temperature between 25-30 degrees Celsius.

5. Salinity

   • Preferably use 15 ppt salinity. However, 10-40 ppt is acceptable.

6. Illumination

   • Use a strong fluorescent or incandescent light.

7. pH

   • Keep the pH level above 8.
     • If the pH drops below 7.5, add sodium bicarbonate to increase it to 8.

8. Hatching Time

   • Brine shrimp nauplii should be harvested approximately 18-24 hours after starting the process.

9. Collecting Nauplii

   • Stop aeration and cover the top of the hatching container to block light.
   • Wait for 10-15 minutes. During this time:
     • Most nauplii will sink to the conical bottom of the container.
     • Empty shells will float to the water surface.
   • Collect nauplii from the bottom drainage (if available) or by siphoning.
   • Rinse thoroughly to minimize mechanical damage before feeding.

10. Storage Condition

    • Both opened and unopened cans should be stored in a cool, dry location.
    • Preferably store below 4 degrees Celsius.
